How long does it take to build a custom home?

Ground-up custom homes in Oakland County typically run 14 to 22 months from groundbreaking to move-in. Design and permitting before that adds another 4 to 8 months depending on architectural complexity and site review.

Do you build on my lot or do you have lots?

We build on your lot. If you don’t have one yet, we work with a few realtors who specialize in tear-downs and infill lots in Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, and Bloomfield Township and can introduce you.

What architects do you work with?

We work with whoever fits the project. Clients sometimes come in with an architect already, and we collaborate from there. Other times they want a recommendation, and we have a short list of architects across Metro Detroit whose style and process we trust.

Can you do geothermal or net-zero?

Yes. We’ve done geothermal, solar, high-performance envelopes, and smart-home integration. These add cost up front but pay back over the life of the house, and they’re a strong fit for the kind of clients building new in this area.
